Versatile OMG-P Series PCMCIA adapters open your notebook or laptop PC up to a wide
variety of RS-232 and RS-422/485/530 applications while adding the flexibility of compact
mobile communications to your system. Take advantage of the noise-resistant RS-
422/485/530 line to connect a notebook computer to distant peripherals (up to 1219 m or
4000 ft). Or, use the convenient RS-232 communications to connect to a wide variety of
peripherals over short distances (up to 15 m or 50 ft).
These credit card-sized adapters incorporate features usually reserved for full size AT
bus cards. They use the 16550 UART to provide reliable high-speed serial
communications at up to 115.2 Kbps/sec. All cards include a high-quality cable that
terminates in an industry-standard DB-25 connector.
